Materials used
Organic cotton
The products are made from certified organic cotton. Neither chemicals nor genetic engineering are used when growing organic cotton. In addition, artificial irrigation is largely avoided.
Wool
Pure wool is a natural animal fiber that has been used for thousands of years to make warm clothing because it has insulating properties. Our wool is processed by a small company in northern Germany.
Recycled PET
To make the clothing even more durable, they sometimes use a small addition of polyester, which is made from 100% recycled PET. In this way, Hafendieb supports recycling cycles and makes the products even more durable in order to counteract fast fashion.
Tencel
Tencel® is a cellulose fiber made from the pulp of eucalyptus trees. Its base material consists of a natural fiber, but since it has to be heavily treated in order to be spinnable, it is currently considered the most environmentally friendly synthetic fiber.
